Man's Over the Top 10!
(In no particular order)
<<<<Here's
an example!
The
Mole People(1956) John Agar leads a Tibetan expedition underground where
they encounter mutant humanoid moles. In a "plot twist", the moles aren't the bad guys -
they are slaves to the Sumerians (Tibetan Sumerians?), an albino
population
dwelling in a long lost underground city.
The
Monolith Monsters(1957)
A small Southwest desert town is terrorized by
meteorite fragments that grow into gigantic crystalline towers by absorbing water from everything around them
(including the people) and then come crashing down on everyhing in their path.
The Tingler (1959) on VHS&DVD
***The movie scared the hell of me when I saw it on late
night TV during the 60's (I have NEVER seen the end of this movie!).***
This is the film in which
producer/director William Castle wired theatre seats to give customers
mild electric jolts at key points. The Tingler stars Vincent
Price as a doctor who discovers that intense fear causes an insect-like
creature "the Tingler" to grow inside a person's spine.
How do you kill it? "SCREAM!" What if you
can't? Watch 'The Tingler.'
The 13th Ghost (19??)
A 3-D classic and another of my pre-teen favorites! I've never seen this
movie in it's entirety.
VHS
(1984) A farce from "Weird Al" Yankovic that sends
up TV and the movies. Yankovic inherits a marginal TV station that soon
rises to top ratings. Army
of Darkness (1993)
